![]() ![]() IDL used to have a separate issue that is very much improved in XQuartz 2.8.0: once you opened a graphic window, pasting text onto the IDL command line became painfully slow, like watching a dot matrix printer working (i told you i am old). my IDL version 8.5.1 is not even the current version, so it's possible that the issue is fixed for later versions. i reported this issue to the å…ƒharris geospatial (owners of IDL) support forum at. but it has an expensive license, so this could be a difficult bug for developers to track. PASTE INTO XQUARTZ INSTALLIDL is used by a various science people, and it works great generally on a mac with X11. Office Excel update (version by screen), XQUARTZ app that I install and then removed, maybe some others I don't know :-/ What I already tried without working solution: Another user in OSx el capitan chrome still paste blob file Stop all extensions in chrome chrome still paste blob file Some restarts I enclose attachments. this happens with both the beta3 and the rc1 releases of XQuartz 2.8.0. PASTE INTO XQUARTZ WINDOWSIn IDL 8.5.1, commands that create Motif windows (e.g., dialog_pickfile() and xdisplayfile) instantly crash the IDL session under XQuartz 2.8.0. ![]() it has been installed (it needs a separate install from ). XQuartz is the environment that R and R-Commander reside in on the Mac. Copy and paste works in R as in any other Macintosh application. If you are using MacOS 10.11 or higher you will first need to install XQuartz. 4 Answers Sorted by: 41 You need to middle-click to paste the contents of the OS X Pasteboard (as the X11 settings call it.) If you don't have a middle mouse button, turn on 'Emulate three button mouse' in the X11 Preferences under the 'Input' tab, along with 'Enable syncing' and 'Update PRIMARY when Pasteboard changes' under the 'Pasteboard' tab. nowadays everyone uses python, but i am old. The process for installing R-Commander on your Mac is pretty straightforward. ![]() Finally, a hypothesis on the formation of dense interface in Na 2SiO 3-activated slag mortars was advanced.I am so thankful to everyone working on XQuartz, because it has been central to my being able to do science on a mac. Because electrical conductivity depends on the pore structure and pore solution chemistry as well, it is speculated, based on published results, that the positive interfacial excess conductance was due to the high alkali concentration rather than a more porous structure around aggregate. SEM observation indicated that no porous transition zone could be observed in Na 2SiO 3-activated slag mortar, but was found in Portland cement mortar. Na 2SiO 3-activated slag mortars exhibited a positive interfacial excess conductance, or a higher electrical conductivity of the interfacial zone between cement paste and quartz sands than that of bulk pastes. Under the Pasteboard view, check 'Enable syncing' and then check all sub-items. Electrical conductivity measurement and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to examine the interfacial zone between cement paste and quartz sands in Na 2SiO 3-activated slag mortars. Start XQuartz/X11 if it is not already running (from the Finder, launch XQuartz.app, located under the /Applications/Utilities folder In XQuartz, select XQuartz->Preferences In the XQuartz Preferences dialog, select Input and then check 'Emulate three-button mouse'. ![]()
